Welcome

WAGArts has been formed out of the Wantage Arts Centre Campaign (WACC). The WACC team learned that the chances of getting better facilities for local arts groups would be far greater if there is a central voice speaking up for the individual groups. The Guild has been set up to address this. WACC focussed on buildings. But buildings don't make an Arts Centre. People do. We hope all local cultural groups will become members of the Guild. And we hope this website will act as a "Virtual Arts Centre" in which members can share information for mutual benefit (e.g. about venues, fundraising and publicity) until such time as we can get a real Arts Centre built for the very lively arts community of this district.
